Non formal learning (NFL) is the learning which takes place through planned activities (in terms of learning objectives and learning time) where some form of learning support is present, but which is not part of the formal education and training system.

The Erasmus+ Programme is designed to support Programme Countries' efforts to efficiently use the potential of Europe’s human talent and social capital, while confirming the principle of lifelong learning by linking support to formal, non-formal and informal learning throughout the education, training and youth fields. The Programme also enhances the opportunities for cooperation and mobility with Partner Countries, notably in the fields of higher education and youth.

The main aims for this TC are:

• To reorient the concept and techniques of non-formal education in Erasmus+ projects
• To reflect, learn and apply concepts and techniques of non-formal education in Erasmus+ projects.

The target group are professionals and workers in the field of youth, leaders of youth organizations, people who work with youth.

In order to develop a TC to recover the true and full potential of non – formal education (NFE), the TC is designed to go through the following contents:

• ERASMUS+ Youth in Action
• Non-formal education concepts and achievements
• Competence Model (EST Model) for trainers in the youth field
• Quality in NFE projects under ERASMUS+

Other transversal contents are related to team – building, intercultural learning, networking, evaluation and follow – up.

The training flow is designed from previous work and desk analysis to be done by participants on the TC topic, before arrival to the TC venue, to the practical implementation of the learning sessions leaded by the training team, until a post – TC work, in terms of potential and further cooperation to be developed by TC participants, by submitting project proposals under the next ERASMUS+ Youth call, with specific focus on NFE values.
