RECOGNIZE IT! Recognition of non-formal learning and youth work in the South Med countries

The seminar aims to explore the recognition relevant issues within the framework of South Mediterranean cooperation in order to design national strategies about non formal learning and youth work.

The seminar aims to bring together representatives of NGOs from Programme countries and South Mediterranean countries in order to explore with participants a) recognition relevant issues within their different experiences and understanding and b) the design of possible national strategies for recognition of non-formal learning and youth work.

By exploringrecognition-relevant issues i.e. (conceptual) terminology in different languages, lobbying, quality of youth work and non-formal learning, evaluation, assessment, learning to learn …etc., participants will have the opportunity to develop NGO-led national strategies for the recognition of non-formal learning and youth work. With the seminar the organisers will aim to co-create a space for honest debate about concepts, topics and issues related to recognition. The activity will be held in Jordan, which offersthe opportunity to gain some insights into Jordanian youth work realities and the exchange of good practises.
